Sharm El-Sheikh wins safest tourist destination award The Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh won the African-Asian Union (AFASU) Golden Award for the Safest Tourist Destination to visit.
South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda also won the AFASU
Golden Award for the best governor and development
leader for a tourist city in the world.
Sharm El-Sheikh is being converted into a smart, green
city, through the solidarity of all concerned parties in the
country, he said, alongside the implementation of a large
number of infrastructure and service projects based on
sustainable foundations.
